About Rocky Mountain Karate Association
Since 1986, Rocky Mountain Karate Association has offered martial arts training to adults, teens, and children as young as 3 years of age. Mr. Hilsabeck, the Technical Director of the school and a 5th Degree Black Belt, has studied several styles of martial arts, and ultimately developed his own system which is designed to provide his students with the maximum benefits from all that he has learned. Mr. Hilsabeck stresses the value of practical 'street-wise' self-defense, as well as the honor-based discipline connected with more traditional approaches to karate. Special training is available for those who would like to compete, and Mr. Hilsabeck has produced a number of state and national tournament champions over the years - but his first priority is to supply all of the students at Rocky Mountain Karate Assn. with a sense of confidence and personal achievement that will last a lifetime. He encourages everyone - regardless of athletic ability - to realize their full potential.
Studies have repeatedly shown that exposing children only once
or twice to classes designed to help them avoid or escape from strangers are
forgotten very quickly. Skits involving these situations are a regular part of
classes at RMKA, so that the message is driven home. Unlike many larger schools,
RMKA provides personal attention, customized learning plans and fun for children
and adults alike. The schedule includes a variety of lessons for all ranks and
ages 6 days a week, allowing students flexibility in attendance. Families are
welcomed and encouraged to attend. If you or someone you know are considering
training for self defense, competition or physical fitness, Rocky Mountain
Karate is the school for you. Private lessons and seminars are also available.
